I have goggles! *bounces around excitedly*

This past weekend, the fabulous ~TouchFeel and I had a steampunk accessory making party! Yes, we know we're geeks, but it was ridiculously fun!

We got part of our ideas from this tutorial [link] by =Fenris-the-Red-Wolf (namely using the bottle lids as a starting point) but from, there we sorta veered off due to money issues. I think the result is a success! (at least as a first attempt!)

Materials:
Bell glass jar lid rings
Plastic make-up bag lenses
Leather-like material from a disected purse
Large brass buckle from old belt
Assorted small gears and filigree stars for decoration

This is great! I just want to ask - what's the diameter of the bottle lids you use for a start? I'd like to make some but I'm not sure how big they should really be...and I'd feel weird (like, even more so than usual) sticking cans to my eye to see how big they are... :XD:

Umm that's a good question - I don't think we measures really. We just went with the normal "jelly jar" size? Mostly we're haphazard and didn't care about sticking cans to our eyes in public lol

I think I've found some which should be a good size now. Hehehe.
